It is a known issue with Server 2008. Unfortunately, if MS's own tools break, I'm sure it will be a while before SAMBA et al catch up. Maybe try PerfMon?

I always have installed the zenpacks from the command line as I forgot there was a GUI for it lol. No idea why it would mess up the perf tab graphs however. I haven't seen that with the several zenpacks I've loaded.

Finally, there is also a blog post with maybe an even better WMI zenpack, Though I haven't personally tried it. I'm waiting for Zenoss Core 2.2 first I think.

Good to know. Personally, I'd suggest just not using Informant, and instead using PerfMon or the WMI Zenpack... They seem more reliable in my environment than Informant was (and can get more info).

I would love to move to WMI as a replacement for SNMP in my Windows
environment. While I haven't had a chance to test it with Windows Server 2003,
I have not been able to get it to work at all with Windows Server 2008. It
just flat-out refuses to connect. In defense of Zenoss, the WBEMTEST tool
refuses to as well. Despite having my service account in the local
administrators group for the server, checking the security of the root\cimv2
section, *AND* having UAC disabled. Something is seriously different with the
way that Win2k8 Server handles WMI.

I've been working for two days and still haven't figured it out.

On a side note, why is it that when I load a Zenpack using the Settings -
Zenpack - Install Zenpack it seriously breaks the performance graphs on the
Perf tab for the devices? I get all sorts of python code spewed out on the
screen.
