perhaps some more info is required. i did run the snmpget and it worked fine.
here is what i did. i copied all the templates to /templates, then i deleted
all the classes but the discovered class. after that i create
/infrastructure/server/windows and /infrastructure/server/linux. i then went
back and applied the templates from /templates, choosing the correct templates
for the devices, and applied them to windows and linux. i then rebound the
"Device" template for each class. now, two things i learned, first, it no
longer creates a folder in the rrd folder for each device. second, when i moved
them to another class that had devices that worked in it, they still didn't
work. i reloaded from scratch 3 times with the same results. obviously if i
keep the defaults it works fine. but i dont want to do this as i want my custom
classes. should i just give up and use the defaults that ship or am i doing
everything correct and just missing something? the manual seems to indicate that
i am not doing anything the system wasn't designed to do. thoughts?
