So I am in the process of upgrading and have made my zenbackup of my existing
data (2.1.90 I believe).

I have moved to a different box all together for a clean 2.1.92 deb install and
am following the instructions for zenrestore providing the databasename, etc
for the restore process.

The trouble is that zenoss needs to be shut down for the zenrestore command.
With the deb install it creates a seperate mysql connection which shuts down
when zenoss is not running. The zenrestore attempts to connect to mysql and
fails out.

I believe I need to have the mysql part of the deb install running before
running zenrestore, but I cannot find any forum messages or documentation on
how to do this. I do see a /usr/local/zenoss/mysql directory however it has a
full version of mysql apparently.

Also of note is that the deb install done on the my new machine did not have
mysql running at the time. Might that of been part of the cause?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
