I've created a performance template to run a simple script. There's currently, just for my testing, no variables used in Zenoss or the script. The script reports
Datasource|Datapoint=##
and I then use that in a graph point...
The script is in /opt/zenoss/libexe/
owner/group zenoss/zenoss
All I'm doing is pulling down a web page with wget and then using grep to parse out a number. Running the script manually works fine.

Put it in Zenoss, bind the template and I get indications it's not running at all, or weird stuff. First, I was getting 31 graphed, even though the value fell to 21 today. Restart zencommand, and I get a graph drop to 27.5... Now I've checked etc, and got entries in the ZenCommand logfile: 2008-06-06 11:02:35 INFO zen.zencommand: Deleting command devicename from /opt/zenoss/libexec/scriptname And now I'm getting a gap. It's like it just refuses to run the script. This has happened before with any command datasource, though SNMP works as expected.

Any ideas? I'm running the RPM on EL5.1 ...
