Makes me wish our support contract made it through HR already :( I certainly cant leave without some kind of monitoring in place. Looks like I'll be rebuilding my server for the rest of the day.
Besides the minor issues and gotchas I have to say this is my first true moment where I'm cursing myself for relying on this thing to monitor state. It reports every device as down except for about 30 or so. Paged all my teams for no reason. Woke up people on the other side of the globe who are on call for false alerts over there. Pretty much alerted half the company and made me look like a moron. No matter the real delay the packets are getting back and being counted as late. Spent a few hours doing my best to debug only to throw up arms and go for a fresh start. My feelings towards this product have certainly been lowered quite a bit. I expected performance data to have issues occasionally and not be 100% flawless. What I didnt expect was for the simple ping monitors to stop working and mark everything as down.
