Yeah, I thought about using the rrd values at one point, but couldn't figure out how to pull that information even with the rrd tools and some info I found in another post about a similar issue with memory.
Re regex, I've tried that sort of thing in the past, and I didn't seem to be able to call perl or bash from the transform window (not surprisingly), and I simply don't know any python. In the meantime I've just changed my evt.summary to say that it's gone over whatever threshold I've set on that particular pipe. In general, that's all I care about in any event, how far over isn't as much of a concern, or at least isn't something I really need to rely on email alerts to tell me. I've setup a few graph reports for others to look at, anyhow, so the alerts are just to remind people "HEY, THIS PIPE IS FULL!!!!!!!!!!" -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=21388#21388 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
