Hi all, I'm currently testing Zenoss with a view to move away from our Groundwork tools as they don't allow "extra" custom information to be stored against devices easily.
I'm looking for a way to model IP Phones, most probably using a port scan of 5060 (sip). Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to start? I've read the docs and looked at the HelloWorld ZenPack but not had much success in getting anywhere. Also, can someone say how to insert custom fields in the Device info screens. I'm looking to store extra information for certain sets of devices, eg ADSL ISP account details against ADSL routers? I've browsed the forums and seen the custom schemas but there's nothing in the docs.
