Thanks for your suggestion ... I'll take a look. I'm trying to get my head around organisers. Unfortunately I'm still thinking like Groundwork models things where you create a template of "checks" per device category and I'm not quite understanding how that applies here.
I have however found the custom fields I mentioned. I've defined them at the top of the devices tree and can now find them on all device -> custom page. My question is, can they be limited to only certain device classes?
