Hi Ross,

I had a similar issue last week.

I had to do a zenoss stop (as the zenoss user), then once the daemons are
supposed to all be down, then do a ps -ef | grep zen and make sure the
daemons are truly stopped.  If not, you might have to kill the PIDs.

Then go into $ZENHOME/var and remove all the .pid and .zec files.  I had the
problem where there was a zenhub cache (.zec) file there that was keeping
zenhub from starting.  Then try to do a zenoss start and see if your daemons
come back up.
