Uh-oh, I think I have a conceptual problem here... So, "Zenoss-Plugins" is a Python package that must be installed on the _remote_ system, not a package for the monitoring computer?
This also seems to imply that some of the collectors just use standard shell commands and so they don't need the plugins? Is that why I'm getting some data now? And that leads to the question of why have a requirement for installing programs on the remote system at all? Why are these called "plugins", then? What do they plug into? They appear to be independent programs that ZenOSS calls via SSH? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=22172#22172 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
