I'm running 2.2.0 and getting used slowly to Zenoss. Great tool.! But eventlog collecting is still a mystery to me.
1) After I start zeneventlog using (-v 10), I see this: 2008-07-10 17:38:26 DEBUG zen.zeneventlog: Wmi Probs [ list of devices ] the list contains 41 devices (all windows servers), but the /Server/Windows class has 160 servers defined. What is this list ? 2) Is it possible that there is a delay between the time the Event gets written to the Eventlog file, and the time is can be detected by using the "SELECT * from __InstanceCreationEvent..." WMI query ? Thanks to all. BTW. I am working on a Sendmail/SpamAssassin plugin. Any ideas are welcomed. Brgds.
