Zenoss uses IP address as the device separator, so you'll need to add multiple checks in the template for that IP (probably at the device level). I think what you're doing is trying to have multiple devices at the same IP, which is a duplicate monitored device. Search the forums, there may have been a workaround, but I'd just monitor them as separate checks inside the same Device. ...

Hi, I'm trying to use Zenoss to monitor a set of virtual hosts by using
check_http, but I am stuck on how this should be done correctly.

I've created a new device class /Web and added a template that runs check_http.
When I add another host, the following event is generated:
<ip> sendto error Host <host 1> and <host 2> are both using ip <ip>

How do I fix this? Should I use another type of organizer? I.e. not "device" but
"service" ?

Kind regards,
Tarjei
