We are using some Cisco Aironets which use Trap55 as the community.
We're receiving traps fine... We did, however set the SNMP community for
them when we created them.
If you want, you can bring up the device, go to the edit tab, and change
the SNMP community there...
Does this help?

I'll try again. Anyone know how to have Windows send an SNMP on demand so I can
test? I don't know what triggered the last ones as Zenoss could not
authenticate the sent traps.

No. You set the community name when you add the device to Zenoss.. and you set
it to what the hardware has set for it. If the community matches on both, it
should be accepted.

Your saying zenoss will only accept traps with community name public? You've

You would change that on the equipment that sends the traps.

Hello,
I have searched in the documentation and can't find how to change the community
string for incoming SNMP traps.
I have traps coming in that fail to authenticate.
They work with the community of "public" but I would like to change that.
Thanks!
