How is zenoss meant to "know" that the change in the local machines hostname was OK. Zenoss records the hostname internally and runs heartbeat checks. As you changed the hostname, zenoss correctly reported heartbeat failures to the old name. As James said, a little searching would have found lots of posts discussing the "issue". -- Regards, Graham Bloice
