Well, the bug is in the documentation more than anything. Your best bet is to search the forums on anything that is unclear in the Admin Guide - lots more info is here. Also, the Michale Badger Zenoss book is a good reference (though for 2.1.3). I believe people have told Zenoss loud and clear that 2.3 needs docs more than anything else.

James,

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Are people just supposed to "know" they have to do that when they change their hostname? That sounds like a bug to me.

As James mentioned: The solution is to go to the "Event Manager" and select clear all heartbeats as found here:

Try going to event console, the little dropdown and Clear All heartbeats. Searching the forum would have found this.

Hello,

After changing the hostname of my Zenoss box I am now getting heartbeat failures on all Zenoss services. Everything works ok, it's just referencing my old hostname and filling up my events with heartbeat failures.

Where can I change the hostname that the hearbeat monitor is pointed?

Thanks,

Isaac
