What condition(s) are trying to monitor on individual websites? Can't you just write a script and pass it the URL of your websites? This could check/output anything you want. Response time, image load time, whatever... I think monitoring a website by IP is not the best way to go, since a lot of websites are vhosts on a single IP address.
