You'll want to add a network. Go to the left tab and add a network like "192.168.1.0/24" and it will discover your network. Networks have to be added or individual devices manually added to get devices.

I've installed ZenOSS 2.2.3. The system I installed on is networked and I am able to ping other systems on my network. However, when I ran zendisc, I go the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/bin/zendisc run
WARNING:zen.ZenDisc:Reconnected to ZenHub
INFO:zen.ZenDisc:connected to ZenHub
WARNING:zen.ZenDisc:No networks configured
INFO:zen.ZenDisc:Result: []
INFO:zen.ZenDisc:scan time: 0.00 seconds
INFO:zen.ZenDisc:Daemon ZenDisc shutting down
INFO:zen.ZenDisc:zendisc shutting down

I read the Administration Guide and it says "To perform auto- discovery, the machine on which Zenoss is installed must have an SNMP agent running.". I installed Net-SNMP 5.4.1.2 and reran zendisc but I got the same result.

I also noticed in ZenOSS, on the left, under Browse By, when I click on Networks, nothing is listed.

Where do I go from here?
