I have only been playing with Zenoss for about a week but the biggest PITA was
trying to get the SNMP MIBS to load into the system.
System Info:
OS = Fedora 9 - 64-Bit
Zenoss = zenoss-stack-2.2.3-linux-x64.bin
Install Directory = /opt/zenoss
I tried all the directions in the forums and the online documentation but had
no luck.
I finally started editing:
/opt/zenoss/zenoss/Products/ZenModel/zenmib.py
About line 140 the code sets smimibdir:
smimibdir = zenPath('share/mibs')
But this sets the path to /opt/zenoss/zenoss/share/mibs
However the mibs are located in:
/opt/zenoss/common/share/mibs on my install
I hardcoded the path in the code and now SNMP MIB install works
just like the admin guide states.
I just want to know is this is a bug or if this has further reaching
implications?
Thanks
Todd
