This seems to still be an issue in 2.2.4 unfortunately. sadly I had similar problems last year when I evaluated zenoss (and later dropped it for Hyperic).
I really like the feel of zenoss so I decided to try again, but we're currently finding it hard to justify the extra work required parsing through the forums daily to figure out how to make it stable..
