Did you create a datasource for this? I have only created new templates
for new graphs myself...

your own template(s) with SNMP datasources, and properly defined graphs.
The Admin Guide provides instructions on this.

I tried making a local copy of the ethernet-csma/cd default template and adding
the data point using the OID I had figured out by using GetIf and verified by
using snmpget command. It keeps complaining about a missing RRD graph. I was
able to successfully build multigraph reports using the pre-defined stuff in
Zenos, and I assumed that the process of adding a datapoint to an existing
template would be similar?
Any suggestions?
