Well... I think the right way to do this would be to create a device class for 
that device type, bind it to whichever templates or whatever, and then create a 
class in /Products for your device model, and set the zDeviceClass zProperty to 
match the device class.

So, zenoss would model the device, it would match it against the 
Product/Manufacturer type, which would automatically assign it to the device 
class of your choice, which would inherit the templates which are bound to that 
device class.  8)
