I have 2.3.2 and I am also trying to automatically associate a modeled device - in my case, to a device class, using the zProperties of the Product. The HW Make and HW Model get allocated correctly after SNMP finds them on a zenmodel. and I can follow the Model link from the device's status page to that Model and check that the zDeviceClass zProperty is set for this product (/Network/Router in my case). But the change of device class doesn't happen.
I haven't found ANY documentation of this mechanism - jmueller - where did you find docs that said it was still "Future Use"? Does anyone have this working? Does anyone know when it's coming?
