Congratulations on your new job.  For Ubuntu or Debian, you can use  
the stack installer or the stack .deb (they're the same package) from  
the download page: http://www.zenoss.com/download/links

Zenoss will run on port 8080, so there won't be a port conflict with  
your Apache installation.
