Hi all.

I was wondering if someone can help me.

Ive recently replaced our old Zenoss with a new build on a new box. The new
server is now sitting on the IP Address of the old server so that i did not
need to go round to all devices to adjust the destinations of SNMP.

This has worked and i can see all devices that were prevoiusly setup on the old
server. both linux and Windows boxes.

However, the problem occurs when i add new linux servers to Zenoss. it keeps
saying that the SNMP is down. Ive tried copying the SNMP.conf file from a
working linux server but this has no affect. the Zenoss server still thinks the
SNMP is down on it.

Any ideas? Is there anything else i need to setup on a linux server to enable
snmp?

For your infomation. New windows servers are being added to the new zenoss
server fine without any problems.

I really dont want to rebuild this server again as its taken me a while.

Many thanks in advance
