Hello jwrober, your Guide is a nice shot. Maybe I have some additional Information.
I add the Environment-Variable to the ".profile"-File in the home-directory of the Zenoss-User, so you don't need to type it every Time you want to run Zenmib. For trouble-shooting: I delete all the comment-lines before the first regular Line in the MIB-File: [MIB-NAME] DEFINITIONS ::= BEGIN Because I have some trouble to load MIBs when Zenmib found the word "FROM" in a comment-line (I don't know why Zenmib interpret comment-lines? [Rolling Eyes] ). In my Case it interpret this line as a dependance. Don't forget to build the Symbolic-Link from Zenoss-Home to .../share and .../libexec in zenoss-install-path Because depending on Distro, Install-Method and Zenoss-Version they are in different Directories and sometimes not in the home-directory of the zenoss-user Example: On VMWare-Appliance the Zenoss-User-Dirtectory is "/home/zenoss" and in the directory /share is only the empty directory /mibs and there is no directory /libexec. The right directories are in "/usr/share" and "/usr/libexec".
