I have used them for all sorts of things. Mostly to better understand where zenoss is getting OIDs from and then to continue my own customization of performance templates and modeling templates. I have found that loading the base mibs in to the organizer is a nice easy way to find OIDs and other things. It essentially gives you a complete picture of all OIDs and mibs available to you for your work.
