I'm not sure I follow.  Some of the devices have the temp/humidity  
sensor installed and some do not?  If you know which are which,  
couldn't you just copy the template and have different device classes  
for each?  You could even get fancy and write a custom modeler like in  
the Community HPSIMMonitor that assigns different templates based on  
what is discovered during modeling.
