we have a fairly large number of them. The temp/sensors are optional plugins. Some have the temp sensor in port 1, some have it in port 2. Some have both, some have none. Dividing the devices up into classes would be inconvenient. Better would just be to not alarm on any where the value is -1, indicating that the little probe is not installed. That way we only need one class, but I'm just not sure how to go about doing this.
