I was reading through the admin guide this morning and played around with trying to add a template and graphs.
I already had the devices in their own device class (/Network/Switch/Occam). These devices look enough like network switches (via SNMP) that I wanted to inherit the Network/Switch functionality. Here's some screenshots of the perf template I was working on. [Image: http://www.bnichols.net/images/zenoss/zenoss_perf_template.JPG ] [Image: http://www.bnichols.net/images/zenoss/zenoss_data_source.JPG ] [Image: http://www.bnichols.net/images/zenoss/zenoss_Graph_def.JPG ] So, from what you are saying, I should probably create model specific templates (i.e. /Network/Switch/Occam/6322) and then specify the specific OID (including the index value) on the Data source instead of just the sensorValue table OID? Question: Given the template I created, should I still see a graph, even though the OID may be wrong? If so, would it appear under the "Perf" tab for the device? This thing can be a bear to get your head around... but I'm making a little progress every day. Thanks for the help. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=33355#33355 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
