Zenoss 2.3.3 on SLES 10

I have a number of command data sources in performance data collector
templates. Specifically, I have a couple that run shellscripts on remote
systems.

The data source dialogue provides a test button where you can specify the
target and check that the data source actually collects data. For shellscript
commands, this fails with a message saying

bin/sh: /home/zenplug/test1: No such file or directory

The same happens if I use the zentestcommand:

zentestcommand -d bino.skills-1st.co.uk --datasource test1

These data sources DO actually work - if you test with:

zencommand run -v 10 -d bino.skills-1st.co.uk

then you can see the communication channel open, the command run successfully,
and data is returned. It's just the testing that fails.

I have a different command data source that runs an executable, not a
shellscript. This DOES work with the test button and zentestcommand (and for
real!).

Is this a bug or a misunderstanding??

Cheers,
Jane
