Here is the scenario: I use an Avtech Roomalert26W for environment monitoring. The device uses a single specific trap value to report numerous different alarms (high/low temp, high/low humidity, flood sensor, etc...).
I am trying to create different Event Classes to handle the different alarms. The only differentiation between these alarms is a variable binding named 'alarmmessage'. When I view the details of the different alarms, everything on the 'Fields' tab is exactly the same. However, the 'Details' tab displays the text found in 'alarmmessage': [Image: http://home.comcast.net/~david.buler/pwpimages/Details.jpg ] [Image: http://home.comcast.net/~david.buler/pwpimages/Details2.jpg ] I believe that separating these into different Event Classes requires that I create a rule that uses the text from 'alarmmessage', but I can't figure out how to do it.
