It seems like you must have a alerting rule setup on the admin user that alerts on any event for any device . I would suggest adding rules to alert on specific events. As an example for ping events, create a new rule, add agent = zenping and count > 2 ( or whatever count you want ). After you do this add a filter to the all encompassing rule that says agent NOT zenping.
