Hello Everyone,

I'm pulling my hair out here and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I
have critical SYSLOG entries coming into Zenoss which I'm not receiving a page
email which is BAD. When I try to map it to a Class, I get a "2 events do not
have an event class key. Created 0 event mapings" error.

In the event viewer, it's properly mapping to the color "red" but the component
field is empty, it's EventClass as "/Unknown", Summary is "05/11/2009:17:31:32
GMT sv-ns3 : EVENT STATECHANGE : Device "remote node 10.0.30.9" - State
PARTIAL_FAIL". I assume Zenoss needs to have this Syslog mapped to a class to
then send emails, etc. So, what I do is the following:

1. Under Classes, click on Events
2. Click on the Classes tag, Net SubClass, created a new subclass called
"netscaler"
3. Click on subclass: netscaler
4. Under EventClass Mappings, created an mapping with ID "EVENT STATECHANGE"
5. Click on the Mappings tab
6. CLick on the "EVENT STATECHANGE" ID
7. Click on the edit tab
8. Name: EVENT STATECHANGE
Event Class Key: EVENT STATECHANGE
Sequence: 0
The rest is blank --> click on save

So I 'think' I'm done so I go to the main 'Event Console', check mark the two
entries, click on the down arrow and select "Map events to Class. I then
select /Net/Netscaler and hit ok. Then I get the original error.

Help!
