I want to add comments to events to provide instructions on how our operations staff should respond.
The comments/instructions would vary by environment, component, device, etc. For example, for a particular filesystem, contact the DB group; for others, contact the system tech; for a test server, contact on-call tech 8-5, M-F; for a prod server, call 7x24; I have events, simple transforms and alerts customized pretty well so have some idea of the tools available. I thought about using a transform to add an Event Log Message but cannot see how to access an appropriate event variable. I could use the alert process and page or email but it would be very good to have it available through the event console. Running Zenoss 2.3.3 on PPC Fedora.
