I am already getting the syslog in a debian system, which most of it is snmp logs which I do not quite need, what it is important to me is the dmesg file among other application log files and I am still not quite sure how to parse them into the zenoss db.
Please find below a sample of the dmesg file: [ 12.144203] fuse init (API version 7.9) [ 17.515835] eth1: Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX/TX [ 17.518478] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth1: link becomes ready [ 15.143990] eth0: Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX/TX [ 15.146628] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready [ 20.717216] SGI XFS with ACLs, security attributes, realtime, large block/ino de numbers, no debug enabled [ 20.718531] SGI XFS Quota Management subsystem [ 19.342939] Filesystem "loop5": Disabling barriers, not supported by the unde rlying device [ 19.342969] XFS mounting filesystem loop5 [ 19.346213] Ending clean XFS mount for filesystem: loop5 [ 17.852367] Filesystem "loop6": Disabling barriers, not supported by the unde rlying device [ 17.852395] XFS mounting filesystem loop6 [ 17.855887] Ending clean XFS mount for filesystem: loop6 [ 19.525238] eth3: no IPv6 routers present [ 19.529237] eth2: no IPv6 routers present [ 18.009134] eth1: no IPv6 routers present [ 15.324969] eth0: no IPv6 routers present [ 21.195289] unionfs: new lower inode mtime (bindex=0, name=etc) [ 31.573588] ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team [ 29.292599] unionfs: new lower inode mtime (bindex=0, name=log) Regards, Michael -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=36419#36419 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
