According to
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.4.2/ch06s05.html there is
an RPM for client side monitoring. I had to dig around to find the RPM,
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.4.2/ch06s05.html
After installing it on a RHEL 5 server I ran "zenplugin.py --list-plugins" as
stated in the instructions and I get
# /usr/bin/zenplugin.py --list-plugins
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/zenplugin.py", line 49, in ?
from zenoss.plugins.common import ApplicationError
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/zenoss/__init__.py", line 14, in ?
__import__('pkg_resources').declare_namespace(__name__)
ImportError: No module named pkg_resources
I need to monitor a device via SSH and am trying to follow the manual.
Can someone provide best practices for monitoring a device via SSH?
