Dear All

I need some guidance related to SNMP configurations in Linux. I have a Linux
based machine that I want to be monitored in Zenoss running SNMP v1.
I am kind of not familiar with the STEPS that should be performed for
successfully monitoring a Linux based machine. I am saying this because I have
successfully added and am monitoring a windows based machine in Zenoss without
issues. I am successfully receiving all sorts of traps (H/W Failure, memory
capacity high, security updates etc) but when it comes to the Linux machine i
am receiving no alerts at all.

I had configured the windows machine as per info from the internet. I am unable
to understand how to enable SNMP on my linux machine, what are the steps that
need to be followed, what what needs to be enabled both on the HOST machine and
the CLIENT machine BOTH.

Waiting for responses!
