Does your zenoss server have the default gateway configured?

Code:
route -n

as root, or you can use:

Code:
netstat -nr

as a regular user. If no default gateway is assigned, then perhaps this is why
you cannot access the machine.

If the default gateway is assigned, then chances are the VPN is not allowing
you access to the port you want to connect to. Check your firewall
configuration.
