I've been reading up on this, but still have not found a fix. I did find out I was wasting my time with the Administered Objects settings for users--from what I read, they are not used in Zenoss Core.
I did reset everyones (and all groups) Administered Object back to empty. I also confirmed all users permissions. This was working after the install of 2.4.2, but something has gone inconsistent. I suspect either something in Zope is not right, or the permissions data is inconsistent. I don't see any options for checking on the actual ZenManager permissions. Currently we cannot click on a device name, and bring up the device, or add a device. I get a URL of http://zenoss.lan.zayoms.net:8080/zport/acl_users/cookieAuthHelper/login_form?came_from=http%3A//zenoss.lan.zayoms.net%3A8080/zport/dmd/Devices/Network/Paxfire/devices/fwi-dle1.zayoms.net which send me back to the login page. Again, if anyone has any ideas on how I can either reset all permissions, or anything else that needs to be checked, I'd appreciate it. Like I said, this was working after the 2.4.2 install, but has since broken. The only thing I can think of that we've been doing is adding/delete users and groups, but not messing with the actual roles of ZenManager, etc. Thanks again. --Randy -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=38720#38720 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
