Finally got the database moved and working on a remote MySQL server. I'm sure I
could have figured out how to do it with the stack installer but reinstalling
from source was a breeze.

Once I got Zenoss installed I...

1. configured mysql to allow remote connections
2. used the MySQL migration tool that I had installed on my destination server
to move the data across
3. once I confirmed that the data was moved I just logged into Zenoss and
pointed the event database to the new one.
4. I kept the events database on my zenoss server and just shut down MySQL for
now. I will get rid of it once I am 100% sure that it is all working.

Note that I didn't have to use the migration tool. I did because it made it so
much easier. Also, the new MySQL server is running Windows Server 2003.
Everything seems to be working well but I'll keep an eye on it and post any new
findings.
