I seem to be having the same issue, sort of. When I start zendmd I get the errors, but then I do eventually get the command prompt, and my basic testing, commands seem to work...
I upgraded to 2.4.5 from 2.3.3. I've tried the shutdown zenoss and delete zec files, and comment out the line that Matt Ray suggested... and restarted Zenoss.
