IOB SC/ST staff union to protest

Chennai, Feb 25:
Members of the All India Overseas Bank SC \ ST Employee's Welfare
Association (AIOBEU) will stage a demonstration 7 March in front of Indian
Overseas Bank (IOB) branches across the State against L Balasubramanian,
president, National Confederation of Bank Employee's Association ( NCBE), for
recommending the suspension of four SC/ST employees of the IOB on 'foisted'
charges.
Giving this information at a press meet here Wednesday, Dr K
Krishnasamy, founder-president, Puthiya Thamizhagam, and office-bearers of the
AIOBEU said the members of the United Forum of SC/ST Employee's Union (Central,
State and public sectors) and cadres of Puthiya Thamizhagam would participate
in the demonstration. Krishnasamy accused Balasubramanian of acting against the
interests of SC/ST employers in the banking sector.
