How do Dalits become fodder for the Maoist gun? Dalits are a major part of the Maoist force, for the first time they are fighting against their oppression with stregthn and confidence. ANd why to some people have a problem? Because they are with the Maoist, because now instead of demanding only saman and end of social inequity they will also demand land and better employment conditions. Why shouldn't they? is this not an element of their exploitation? How do they become fodder? Are they being used by the Maoist/ One might believe that if u were to present evidence of maoist discriminating against them . If u never gave them the opprtunity to stand up then why do you crib when others do? The biggest problem with the Dalit andolans today is that they ignore the demands of a majority of Dalits who are working as agricultural labour , or who are working as wage -earners in the city. This is not the only issue for Dalits, but it is one increasingly moving into the fore ground. Why? Is it because a ceratin section of the dalits who have been able to emerge from the exploitation of the feilds and factories , and who now increasingly dominate the dalit movement , no longer se the issues at the core of Dalit oppression. An over-emphasis on culutral exploitation, is it a cry of the upwardly mobile Dalits? Who want only an end of discrimnation against them , a recognition of their social staus, without the transformation of the social and economic conditoins that makes possible theexploiation of their toiling brothers and sisters. ------------------------ Yahoo!
