Patna: A Dalit woman has lodged a petition in a Bihar court, accusing Ramswaroop Prasad, a legislator of the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U), of attempting to molest her.
The petitioner said that Prasad, his son Alok Kumar and his bodyguard Vijay Prasad had forcibly entered her home in Nalanda district Feb 10 and attempted to molest her.
She lodged the petition Tuesday in the court of the chief judicial magistrate in Hilsa Tuesday.
The woman said in her petition that police officials had refused to file her complaint when she went to a police station in Biharsharief, district headquarters of Nalanda, and another in Ekangarsarai of the same district.
Prasad, however, said the charges were baseless.
