IWPR establishes fund to train exiled journalists 25/07/2007
Exiled or disabled journalists around the world now have the chance to attend training programs at the Institute of War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) through a newly established fund. IWPR established the Sahar Journalists' Assistance Fund to honor the memory of Iraqi journalist Sahar al-Hider. She was murdered by unknown assailants in Mosul in June. The fund also will assist the families of journalists who die in the line of duty, IWPR said.
