Reports, features invited for Panos award Staff Reporter Journalist can submit their reports or features on HIV and AIDS published or broadcast between July 6 and December 8 for the 'Panos Media Award 07'. Panos Country Representative for Bangladesh SM Mayeen Ahmed yesterday at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity invited print and broadcast journalists to submit investigative reports or features on HIV and AIDS within December 11. Out of the total submission 12 reports will be awarded Tk 15,000 each. A panel of mass media and HIV & AIDS experts will select reports for the award. Several entries from a single journalist will be accepted. Panos asked print journalists to submit their reports along with the newspaper or magazine issue featuring the piece, while broadcast journalists to submit the cassette or CD of their reports or programmes intended for submission. The reports (intended for submission) need to be published in any leading local daily and preferably reproduced in any leading national daily or broadcast on any national television and radio channel. Participating journalists must keep their respective editors or the concerned authority informed of their submission. Panos works globally with media and other information actors to enable developing countries to shape and communicate their own development agendas through informed public debate.
