Media veteran Pradeep Guha joins Nexus India as venture advisor Tue Feb 10, 2009 3:47pm IST By Madhav A Chanchani (VCCircle.com) Guha has been in the media industry for 30 years and was till recently CEO of Zee Networks. Venture capital firm Nexus India Capital has added Pradeep Guha as a Venture Advisor. Guha is a veteran from the media industry, and was CEO of Zee Network till recently. Guha is also an active angel investor. Guha had quit Zee in the middle of last year and started an out of home (OOH) media business called Street Culture, part of his private firm The Culture Company. Guha has also been the President and Director of the Times of India Group, where he developed several media brands including the Femina Miss India, Fimfare Awards. Nexus India has more than $320 million under management. The firm closed its second last year at $220 million. The fund has around 16-17 portfolio companies, which include video ad network firm Vdopia, DimDim (open source free web meetings, Dlight (LED lighting solutions for rural and semi-urban markets), games2win (Online Gaming), etc. "Pradeep's deep operating experience in media is of tremendous value to many of our portfolio companies in traditional media like television and print and new media like the internet and mobile," said Suvir Sujan, Director, Nexus India Capital Advisors. -- Copyright 2008 VCCircle.com.
