Basic Journalism, Politics and Elections, Press Freedom, Young Journalists Deadline: 16/02/2009 Region: Worldwide An upcoming summer course on media development, designed for students with Masters or Doctorates, will introduce journalists to research tools necessary for collecting information and conducting comparative studies. Deadline: February 16. Hosted by the Hungary-based Central European University (CEU), the summer course will help journalists design their research by detailing the history, theory, practice and trends in current media development. Interested applicants from Eastern Europe, Asia, and other developing countries can apply for financial aid and should have a demonstrated interest in media development. Applications must include a writing sample, research proposal, and two letters of recommendation. A good command of English is required.
