Sterilized nation
Vaccinated, cleaned, scrubbed. No disease, or dirt, or heat. So sterilized a nation Born in utopia? Picture-perfect rendition of Frosted glasses And sunny winds. You still feel something's missing. Whisper to yourself on a lonely Morning walk: "Where's life?" And, then a half-dead earthworm Sneaks from under the wooden bridge. Or perhaps it's not a worm at all. By some strange process of Reverse evolution -_ It's the Tunisian driver, Who sees his family daily - But, only in telephonic voice. Or the Russian driver Who's forgotten what "Bolshevik" means. (Or at least wants to) Or the techie Indians At the hotel breakfast, All huddled up amongst themselves. Somehow ashamed of something, Condescending, whispery talks. As I walk on the bridge, More worms surface. There's wind breaking my skull, A bad cold and a sore Throat tomorrow. But for now, The worms are all my attention. The worms, Crawling, wriggling, trying To bring life To a sterilized nation. I stamp on many. What do I care? I am going home, Soon. Rash ------------------------ Yahoo!
