Hey You! Great to see you surface! (most surely from being immersed in poetry!) Yes! Being habituated to writing free verse, it was quite a new experience for me, playing with the net UP! (Robert Frost-Writing free verse is like playing tennis with the net down!)
You are right about the unnecessary emphasis put on the two repeating lines by the use of differential fonts. That was pure laziness actually. Should have normalized the lines before posting. Writing the villanelle was easier for me by having the 2 lines repeated in the required pattern on a blank page. And having them in the 2 different fonts also helped me 'see' and 'hear; how the sounds were playing in the poem...
